writing fic is my happy place
Mar. 18th, 2024 03:51 pmas it is with creating anything, writing is both agony and pure joy. hours of staring at the blinking line on my document are worth it a hundred times over whenever i find the right words to express something.
it's often months between bursts of writing, because of time, energy, being occupied with other things... you know how it is. but every time i return to it (and i will inevitably always return to it) it is such a joyous experience. not to mention when something is finished and posted.
sometimes i'm bummed that i can't make money from it (and filing off the serial numbers is something that doesn't work with the type of fics i write. not that i'd want to do that anyway.) but it's probably for the best. if i can't make money from it, there is no pressure to write certain things. i can do this purely for myself and the only stakes are my own standards.
